Fikri Işık, Turkish Minister of Science Industry and Technology, visiting R & D center of Anadolu Isuzu, he said that he was impressed what he saw at the center. Minister Işık said, “Taking place in the first R & D centers of Turkey, Anadolu Isuzu R & D Center has become a technology base to contribute significantly in leveraging the international competitive power of our country and the sector.” In his visit the Minister Işık got the elaborated information, he also observed design studies and tests in the place in host of Tuncay Ozilhan, Chairman of the Board of Anadolu Group, Suleyman Vehbi Yazici, the member of the board; Kamil Eser, Automotive Group Chairman of Anadolu Group; Tugrul Arikan, Director General of Anadolu Isuzu; Arif Ozer, R & D Director of Anadolu Isuzu. Minister Işık – to whom information presented about Anadolu Isuzu has become crucial actor both in the home and abroad regarding giving importance to R & D, all of exported coaches were developed at the R & D center of Anadolu Isuzu and manufactured at the plant in the district of Sekerpinar – said they had paid attention to the investments in R & D and technology. Stating he was very impressed by the studies at R & D center, Minister Işık highlighted the efforts of R & D had strategic importance in terms of the country. Minister Işık continued; “since coming to the office onwards as the government we have cared to support the R & D studies by mobilizing all of our possibilities as the state. We have made many breakthroughs with R & D reform packet. We have ensured remarkable incentives to the firms. With the effect of these incentives the number of R & D centers is increasing. Taking place among the first R & D centers of our country, Anadolu Isuzu R & D Center has become a technology base with which our counter is proud. Things I see here are very extreme impressive. I thank to those who exerted effort in the establishment of R & D center and being raised this point which I believe that it would contribute international competitive power of our country and I also wish continuity of these successes.” Anadolu Isuzu is the first established Japanese joint-venture automotive firm in the country.
