Otokar, one of the foremost Turkish defense companies, has gotten order worth 47,5 million euro of COBRA II tactic wheeled armored vehicles. The number of Cobra II is increasing in the country’s inventory. According to the statement form the firm, Otokar will offer COBRA II 4×4 tactic wheeled armored vehicles, various systems, maintenance and support services together. The delivery of vehicles is foreseen to be completed in the first half of 2017. With the mission of the products’ design and manufacturing in line with user expectations, having global competition power, Otokar COBRA II emerges to front plan with high protection and carrying feature. Taking task in 15 countries and being the most preferred of its class, COBRA II has been improved via existing COBRA. Being suitable to various task needs of Otokar users, COBRA II features higher carrying capacity and more interior space than COBRA. The vehicle offers supper protection against threats of the same movement capability and ballistic, mine and handmade explosives. Also having Amphibia type, COBRA II features as a modular structure for different tasks.
