ODD Gladiators’ Awards Go To Owners

oddTurkish Automotive Distribution Association held the 6th ODD Sales and Communication Gladiators Awards in 19 categories

The 6th ODD Sales and Communication Gladiators Awards have been identified at a night held by the Turkish Automotive Distribution Association (ODD). Bringing together 48 brands of the sector under its roof, the ODD has held the traditional award ceremony entitled “ODD Sales and Communication Awards” which are presented to the successful brand and activities of the sector. Representing 48 brands in the automotive sector in its structure, the ODD Gladiators’ Awards which were held primarily in 2010 have staged to a breakthrough in its sixth edition. At the night, the year’s most successful brand and their activities deserved to get award. The ODD Executive Board Chairman Mustafa Bayraktar, distinguished representatives of the automotive world, press members and invitees joined the night held at Four Seasons Hotel. The awards found the owners in 19 categories in ‘sales and communication’.

2015 was full of surprises
In his speech, Mustafa Bayraktar telling they were enjoying one more traditional organization of the automotive sector and continued; “We have inserted many things into past 365 days. We achieved launching of over 100 new models, we hosted 600,000 visitors at Autoshow 2015 including 2 world and 62 Turkey premiers, and we accomplished noteworthy sales in 2015 over previous year. The year 2016 would not be an easy year, but I believe our economy will continue to grow in the light of known indicators. In 2015, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market completed the year with the sales of 968 thousand 17 units growing 26.1 percent over previous year. The light commercial vehicles comprised 242,421 units of these sales increasing 34.42 percent, and sales of automobiles with 23.54 percent amounting to 725,596 units. When we look at total sales of light commercial vehicles and automobiles we see it has reached over 1 million. When the sales of heavy vehicle in the number of 40 thousand added to the sales figure, we see the total sales would reach by 1 million 8 thousand units by exceeding 1 million bar. As we say in all circumstances, in fact our country’s automotive sector potential is over this as well, I hope we will raise our sector furthermore altogether.”

Different competition in 19 categories
The awards were presented in a total of 19 categories. While the sales awards have been determined according
to the annual sales results on ODD database; the nominees in Communication Awards were qualified to 5 through 65 thousand public votes via www.oddgladyator.com in the categories under themes “TV of the Year”, “Newspaper of the Year”, Radio of the Year”, Magazine of the Year”, Digital and Social Media of the Year”, “Outdoor of the Year”, Fair Stand of the Year”. The projects were qualified to 5 by public voting and as for the nominees in “Social Responsibility Project of the Year”, PR/ Event of the Year” and “Integrated Communication Campaign of the Year”, voted live at the night being evaluated by distinguished jury members. Also “Jury Special Award” found its owner at the night. The awards which were determined by the ODD database in Sales category are as follows: “The most growing light commercial vehicle brand”, the most growing automobile brand”, “the bestseller light commercial vehicle model”, “the bestseller automobile model”, “the bestseller light commercial vehicle brand”, “the bestseller automobile brand”, the bestseller brand (automobile + light commercial vehicle”.
