Fiat Egea continues to take its place with its enlarging model versions in the European markets under the name of Fiat Tipo in the European market
Fiat Egea – which has been improved and manufactured at Tofas plant in the northwestern province of Bursa and elected “Best Car of the Year” by AutoBest through jury members of the foremost editors of 26 European countries – continues to take its place with its enlarging model versions in the European markets. Having offered for sales with Tipo name in EMA region in over 40 countries in Europe, Central Asia, Asia, the new Fiat model family has been introduced to FCA (Fiat Chrysler (Automobiles) dealers with an event held in Mainz, Germany. TOFAS CEO Cengiz Eroldu attended the ceremony as an honorable guest in the promotion invitation in Germany. Three different body versions as Sedan, Hatchback and Station Wagon were displayed together. Pointing out the reached level of Turkish automotive industry in his speech at the night, Tofas CEO Cengiz Eroldu said, “Having elected ‘the best automobile of Europe’ by AutoBest regarding its product features, cost-benefit balance; the automobile, which is offered for sales under the name Egea in Turkey and Tipo in the European market, has seen a huge interest in the all markets. We are proud regarding the new Fiat model family has been offered to a noteworthy market such as Germany. I believe that our citizens who live in Germany would feel the same proud.” In his speech, FCA Germany CEO Giorgio Gorelli said, “Fiat together with its new products has returned to Germany in a strong way. Our renewed dealer network and constructive cooperation will bring economic success together.”
