The total domestic market increased 7 percent to 37 thousand units in January 2015 over the same month last year. Automobile market raised 1 percent to 25 thousand units.
Sales of imported automobiles decreased 6 percent, domestic made ones surged 20 percent, according to the statement from Automotive Manufacturers’ Association (OSD). Sales of domestic made light commercial vehicles increased 47 percent; imported ones decreased 1 percent in January. The share of imported vehicles was 43 percent in the first month. The heavy commercial vehicle market surged 26 percent and reached 1,952 units in January compared to January 2014. Regarding developments in the construction sector truck market increased 52 percent to the level of 1,697 units. Bus market decreased 23 percent to 79 units.
According to last 10 years on average, the total market expanded 15.5 percent, automobile market 22.5 percent; light commercial vehicle market increased 1 percent. In last 10 years on average, as truck market increased 21.4 percent, bus market decreased 26.9 percent. The imported automobile market share became 70 percent in January 2015. Imported light commercial vehicle market remained in 43 percent in January. The total automotive exports surged 54 percent, automobile exports 35 percent respectively. The total unit in exports was 79 thousand; automobile exports were 49 thousand units. Commercial vehicle exports jumped 98 percent to 31 thousand units. In January 2015 the total production increase in minibus was 157 percent, in pickup was 86 percent, in truck was 42 percent, in bus was 31 percent and in small tonnage truck was 5 percent; in van production decreased 16 percent. The total number of 103 thousand vehicles was produced in January. The total production expanded 37 percent over January 2014. Automobile production increased 16 percent to 60 thousand units.
