The “IONIQ Forest” project, part of Hyundai’s global sustainability vision, has come to life in Karamürsel, Kocaeli, in collaboration with the Aegean Forest Foundation (Ege Orman Vakfı). As part of Hyundai’s global IONIQ Forest initiative, the total number of trees planted worldwide has reached 1 million.
Hyundai Motor Türkiye continues to support its sustainability vision not only through investments in mobility, but also through social responsibility projects that contribute to the environment and society. In this context, the Turkish chapter of Hyundai’s global “IONIQ Forest” project became a lasting legacy for the future with a tree-planting event held for the 10,000 saplings planted in 2025 in Karamürsel, Kocaeli. Implemented in cooperation with the Aegean Forest Foundation, the project contributes to the preservation of biodiversity while also supporting the creation of new forest areas.Through this global initiative, a total of 1 million trees have been planted across various countries to date.
The IONIQ Forest established in Karamürsel, Türkiye, stands out as an important part of this worldwide movement. Hyundai Motor Türkiye has been consistently carrying out afforestation efforts since 2008 in Alikahya, Kocaeli. With the addition of the IONIQ Forest in Karamürsel, the total number of trees the company has contributed to nature has reached 33,500. During the event, which was attended by Hyundai Motor Türkiye employees, attention was drawn to the long-term impact of this meaningful project that contributes to the environment.
