The total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 21,643,213 as of the end of June 2017 in Turkey, 60% of them have white color
The total number of road motor vehicles registered to the traffic reached 21 million 643 thousand 213 by the end of June, according to the statement from the Turkish Statistical Institute.
Within the total cars represented 53.9%, followed by small trucks 16.4%, motorcycles 14.1%, tractors 8.3%, trucks 3.8%, minibuses 2.2%, buses 1% and special purpose vehicles 0.3%.

In June, the number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 13.5% compared with the previous month. Cars, minibuses, buses, small trucks, trucks, motorcycles special purpose vehicles and tractors decreased by 9%, 28.4%, 42.2%, 29.6%, 26%, 6.4%, 24.4% and 23% respectively.
The number of vehicles registered decreased by 17% over the samemonth of the previous year
In June, the number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 17% compared with the same month of the previous year. Cars, minibuses, buses, small trucks, trucks, special purpose vehicles and tractors decreased by 21%, 16.9%, 43.6%, 20.6%, 27%, 25.1% and 1.2% respectively. Motorcycles increased by 1.9%.
In January-June 2017, the total number of vehicles in traffic increased 552,789
While 49 thousand 134 road motor vehicles were withdrawn, 601 thousand 923 road motor vehicles were added in January-June period. Hence, the total number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 552 thousand 789.
577,975 road motor vehicles handed over in June
Among 577 thousand 975 vehicles handed over, cars accounted for 70.3% followed by small trucks 15.7%, motorcycles 6.3% and tractors 2.5%. Minibuses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 5.2% of the handed over motor vehicles in June. The ratio of cars registered using LPG was 38.8%
At the end of June, among 11 million 666 thousand 779 registered cars, the share of LPG-fueled cars was 38.8% followed by diesel-fueled cars with 34.5% and gasoline-fueled cars with 26.3%. The ratio of the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.4%.
In June, 58,469 cars were registered to the traffic
In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the 58 thousand 469 new registered cars in June, Renault recorded 15.8%, Fiat 11.1%, Volkswagen 10.8%, Ford 6.6%, Hyundai 6%, Opel 5.5%, Toyota 5.1%, Dacia 4.3%, Mercedes-Benz 4.3%, Nissan 4.2% and the other trademarks 26.5% of the total.
Most frequent engine size was 1501-1600 for registered cars
Within 356 thousand 358 cars registered to traffic in January-June period, 40.9% of them had engine size 1501-1600, 26.6% had 1401-1500, 14.4% had 1300 or less, 13.3% had 1301-1400, 3.6% had 1601-2000, 1.2% had 2001 and above engine size.
Most frequent color was white for registered cars
Within 356 thousand 358 cars registered to traffic in January-June period, 60% of them were white, 16.8% were grey, 7.8% were black, 5.5% were red and 9.9% were in other colors.
