The 8th edition of Highway Traffic Safety Symposium was held at ATO Congresium Convention Center in the capital city of Ankara on 16-18 November 2017
The 8th edition of highway traffic safety symposium and exhibition was held. The symposium started with speeches of Binali Yildirim, Prime Minister; Suleyman Soylu, the Minister of Interior Affairs; Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication, Dr. Ismet Yilmaz, Minister of National Education and Selami Altinok, Director General of Safety. TUVTURK briefed information about traffic safety through various simulations to the attendees at the symposium.
Having held in order to share jointly experiences of the firms, institutions, establishments which serve in traffic issue, the 8th edition of Highway Traffic Safety was held at Ankara ATO Congresium Convention Center on 16-18 November 2017. The studies and experiences of the producers, implementers and scientists were mutually shared at the symposium where Binali Yildirim, Prime Minister; Suleyman Soylu, the Minister of Interior Affairs; Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication, Dr. Ismet Yilmaz, Minister of National Education and Selami Altinok, Director General of Safety attended.
The studies about highway traffic safety of TUVTURK – which is the single authorized body to serve in the motor vehicle examination in Turkey – were shared with the visitors at the symposium. The stand about Responsibility Action at Traffic which has been put into force in the coordination of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime and Communication saw a great interest during the symposium. The information concerning traffic safety was given at the stand of Responsibility Action at Traffic. The audiences have been informed about miserable results when they do not fix safe belt during travel, the visitors got information about sad results in case not to use safe belt via safe belt simulation that turns 360 degree on its axle.
In addition, there was alcohol eyewear simulation which draws attention to dangers driving vehicle in drunken condition. Also various contests were organized directed towards participants at the symposium. The projects in the scope of Action for Life Friends and Good Lessons to Uncle Driver were introduced to the attendees.
