Turkish defense and aerospace firms boosted their exports to Germany with 17 percent to $140 million in the first eight months this year over the same period previous year, according to the statement from Turkish Exporters Assembly.
Turkish exports to Germany in the defense and aerospace industry surged 17 percent in the eight months of 2017 compared to the same term last year, according to figures released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly.
Last year for the same term $119 million exports in the defense and aerospace sector were made to Germany.
Turkish defense and aerospace firms have made $1.066 billion exports across the world in first 8 eight months of 2017, slightly up from last year’s $1.064 billion.
In 2017, the largest export of $443.9 million was made with the USA. Germany ranked second with exports worth $140.2 million in this period.
India became third spot with $66.2 million in the Turkish defense and aerospace exports in this period. Following these countries, Poland took place in the Turkish exports worth $47 million, the UK $35 million, France $33 million, Turkmenistan $25, Malaysia $24, Italy $23 million respectively in Turkish defense and aerospace exports.
While Turkish defense and aerospace firms exported worth $119 million 922 in 2016 in the first 8 months, this year in the same period the sector exports increased 17 percent
