Turkey’s Crude Oil Imports Surges 24.26%

The crude oil imports of Turkey surged 24.26% to 2 million 376 thousand 602 tons in January 2017 over the same month last year.

Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory (EMRA) announced monthly oil market sector report. According to this report, the total refinery oil products increased 5 percent to 2 million 567 thousand tons in January 2017 over the same month previous year. The diesel types increased 6.75 percent to 877 thousand 145 tons, gasoline types increased 13.58 percent to 499 thousand 490 tons in the first month this year in Turkey. The total sales of oil derivatives increased 5% to 1 million 869 thousand tons. The sales of gasoline types increased 1.95% to 148 thousand 416 tons, as for the sales of diesel types raised 8% to 1 million 546 tons in January 2017. The crude oil imports of Turkey surged 24.26% to 2 million 376 thousand 602 tons in the first month this year 2over the same month last year. The imports of diesel types increased 28.77% to 872 thousand 918 tons, imports of aviation fuels became 16,417 tons with 16,000% increase. As for the exports of diesel types decreased 16.43% to 5 thousand 470 tons, aviation fuels 25% to 262 thousand 363 tons respectively. The exports of gasoline types surged 36% to 374 thousand 647 tons in January 2017.
