Meanwhile, MOTED Chairman Cadirci said that they would also not expect growth in 2016 in the market.
Informing about objectives of the sector for 2016, Nihat Cadirci, Chairman of Motorbike Industry Association (MOTED), said, “The sales of 35 percent of motorbikes are imported, 65 percent accounted for the domestic made.” Cadirci continued, “We do not predict growth in the market regarding some negative effects in our geography where we live, as well as developments with Russia and raising price subjecting to foreign currencies. The sales of motorbikes are expected to remain in the level of 165 thousand in 2016 as well. In addition, newly identified of driving license classes, we also think that the new Highway Traffic Law to be implemented in 2016 would change customer preferences.” Letting safe condition to be offered for motorbike sport activities, would allow successful sportsmen to emerge and contribute to drive motorbikes, making runways, organizing races and training would support motor sports, he said. “Regulating traffic rules in a way to be beneficial for twowheeled vehicles, given priority for driving motorbike on highways, making all driver classes to get education to perceive motorbikes will be available at traffic might be among the works of Turkish National Police and the Ministry of National Education.”
