taysadTurkish Association of Automotive Parts & Components Manufacturers (TAYSAD), which has undertaken locomotive power in exports, has also undertaken a leading role in added-value
production

TAYSAD Chairman Dr. Mehmet Dudaroglu came together with economy press members holding a press conference at Avantgrade Hotel. “TAYSAD has reached a total number of 973 registrations including patent, useful model and industrial designs between 2012 and 2015. Turkish supplier industry is in a progressing mode to strengthen its competitive power. When we take a look at data, our country’s exports is in the level of 1,44 euro per kilogram. Nevertheless in terms of the automotive supplier industry exports, this figure is in the level of 4,82 euro. In 2012, while it was 4,64 the figure has increased nearly 4 percent within 4 years with a constant way. This is a benefit regarding having focused on innovation and added-value production,” Mehmet Dudaroglu, head of TAYSAD, said. Dudaroglu highlighted the negotiations of TAYSAD members related to the Iranian market which is seen as a promising potential for the Turkish supplier industry, as well as R & D studies made between 2012 and 2015.

“Our members increased the patent registration threefold” Stating TAYSAD members had advanced significantly in added-value production, Dudaroglu said, “While in 2012 only our 11 firms have taken patent registration, in 2015 this figure has reached 33 firms and 79 patents. We see clearly advantageous of adopting a policy supporting our members’ R & D studies with every passing year. In 2012, our number of firms, which have beneficial model and industrial design registration, was 57, in 2015 this number rose by 87.” “We will be one of the biggest business partners of Iran” He stated they had come together with the representatives of Iranian Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (IAPMA) which has been a shareholder position sheltering crucial potential in the exports of TAYSAD members in the upcoming period, Dudaroglu said; “In this meeting, possible business cooperation was discussed for the future. Together with removal of sanction against Iran, we, as TAYSAD, have been invited by the Iran International Automotive Industry Conference to be held in the upcoming days. The TAYSAD speakers will deliver speech at this conference. This organization to which we encourage our members to join will be supported with tete a tete negotiations. Our Iranian stakeholders expect to take place at their side as the biggest partners of them. We have also been in a tight preparation process with our members. TAYSAD will be one of the biggest business partners of Iran in the automotive area. Currently when we look at foreign trade data managed with Iran we see that our automotive sector has surplus.” Dudaroglu said they were giving importance to the new market works, in line with this they would also continue R & D and critical technology works without stopping.
