Istanbul leads in luxury automobile sales in the period of January-October 2015, according to a survey conducted by OYDER and EBS
In Turkey, 40,014 of 68,185 premium automobiles were sold in Istanbul in the period of January-October 2015, according to the research conducted by OYDER and EBS. In the same period the sales of premium automobiles were 5,897 units in the capital city Ankara. According to the research which was conducted by the Turkish Automotive Authorized Seller Association (OYDER) and EBS, the market analyzer and statistical company, in Turkey a total of 603,681 unit automobiles were sold in the first ten months last year. In this period, the number of 68,185 unit luxury automobiles was sold accounting for 11.29 percent of the total sales number. Istanbul did not leave leadership to anyone in luxury vehicle sales. In the survey, which included throughout Turkey, also the data of TUIK and notary were taken into consideration. According to this survey, following Istanbul and Ankara; the provinces of Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Adana, Gaziantep, Mersin, Kocaeli and Konya ranked in luxury automobile sales respectively. The least premium automobile sold in eastern province of Hakkari with 3 units in this period. This province followed by Bayburt and Ardahan with 6, Bitlis with 7, Tunceli with 9, Kars with 14, Artvin with 15, Kilis with 20, Gumushane and Bingol 21 luxury automobiles for each one.
